Dr.-Ing. Ante oda
Ante is a
freelance research and development engineer in the field of industrial aerodynamics. He also works as a research assistant at the
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval
Architecture, University of Zagreb, Croatia. He has experience
in developing CFD methods and applying them to solve different industrial and scientific problems,
ranging from low-speed flows (automotive and civil engineering fluid dynamics) to transonic compressible flows (aircraft aerodynamics). His
research interests are physics and mathematics of fluid dynamics, advanced numerical methods and computing for
CFD (URANS, DES/LES), bionics (learning from nature), industrial design and aesthetics
applied to vehicle and civil engineering structures (automotive design, long span bridges).
He obtained his PhD from the Technical University
RWTH Aachen, Germany,
in 2006. From 1998 to 2000 he did
his MPhil study at the Technical University
UMIST in
Manchester, UK. He obtained
a BSc diploma from the University of Zagreb in 1996.
